I am a licensed clinician with over 7 years of experience in the area of mental health services. While I engage in private practice part of the time, the remainder of my time is dedicated to clinical supervision and program evaluation. I currently serve as Program Manager for a community mental health agency's Evanston and Rogers Park offices. In this role, I direct the overall treatment offered by the program and provide training to others in areas such as best practice approaches to counseling and mental health treatment, understanding depression, managing trauma and suicidal ideation, coping with emotional dysregulation and severe or persistent mental illness, addiction, stress management and many other specialized areas of care. My past experiences include in-patient and out-patient counseling in the department of psychiatry at a Chicago hospital, as well as group and individual psychotherapy in intensive outpatient (IOP) and other settings.
In addition, I am also honored to be a part of an advisory committee to Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, as well as Chair of a local advocacy organization.
I am a graduate of the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and have received several awards for excellence and dedication such as the Dean's List, the Mission Award and a Multicultural Affairs Committee Scholarship for educational expertise and dedication. Other specialized areas of training include Domestic Violence training certificate, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Certificate Program, among others.
